CHRIS WILSON
Associate
The joys of architecture are many for Chris: opportunities to engage with his creativity, explore ideas, collaborate with like-minded people, and the daily learning synonymous with the practice.
Chris' passion lies in designing houses - due to their personal and related nature. He pays particular attention to respecting the site and its cultural, contextual, and environmental significance, with the goal of applying an appropriate intervention to the given locale and conditions. He is conscious of material consumption, placing importance on quality over quantity, and making design decisions with a central focus on environmental responsibility. Throughout his work, there is an affinity with natural, raw, and honest materials that reveal themselves with age, enhancing the building's connection the the landscape.
Travel and immersing himself in the outdoors, be it in the mountains or the ocean, or his other creative avocations such as photography, filmmaking and music - Chris revels in the pursuit of inspiration and release.
